Healing Begins in Courageous Conversations

Get Help

Bison instinctively handle storms in a way that is quite different from cattle. When a storm approaches, cattle tend to run away from it. However, this means cattle often end up running in, and together with, the storm, remaining in its harsh conditions for much longer.

Bison, on the other hand, charge directly into the storm. By facing the storm head-on and moving through it, running toward the storm means the bison get through to the other side much faster.

This is representative of First Responders creating resilience through the storm. Facing challenges directly instead of avoiding them can lead to quicker resolution and growth. It’s a great reminder that, sometimes, the best way out of a tough situation is straight through it.

OUR MISSION:

Warrior’s Rest Foundation empowers resilience in First Responders, their partners, and families, by prioritizing emotional health and physical wellness to protect career longevity.
